My Christmas Wishlist

We all want things for Christmas there is no lie about that. But surely its okay to purely just want something rather than actually needing it right?

Its the time for giving and as much fun as it is to receive its nice to give someone a gift just to see the that gleam of happiness light up in their eyes.

Its such a nice feeling and when you get what you want in return or a total surprise its always nice too.

I dont really like asking for presents now compared to when I was little... back when it was okay to be adamant and pester your parents to death about how much you really want the new Animal Hospital play set or Polly Pocket. But when I reached adulthood I stopped asking and focused more so on giving nice gifts.

But... it's always since to receive a little something in return though right?

So for those reading have you all got anything in particular you want for Christmas this year? Share with me! I'm always happy to hear.

My Thoughts On NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tints | Review

Whether these are new or not I am not totally sure... but all I can say is that I am in love! As we all know NYX is already popular with their Lip Lingerie line which offers good full coverage, matte lipsticks, liquid lipsticks and now with this lid collection being quite the opposite.

They are lightweight, creamy shadows with a pearlescent tint. These are literally just lip glosses for your eyelids giving you and pretty glittery eye lids and they last all day - all day. I've been using these for approximately a month now and they don't wear off easily.

The NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tints are a fabulous for those groggy dark mornings where I can just whack these beauties on during my tedious long train journeys to university and back.

At £6.00 each they really are wonderful because it saves the messy powdery spillage I would usually get with eyeshadows and clogging up my make up bags. They're pretty much a lifesaver and I cannot stop using them either! I've bounced from my powdered eyeshadows to these and back again. I can't stop.

NYX Lingerie Lid Tint range is fairly large, the colour scheme is neutral and there is a meer few striking colours in the group such as burgundy and bright pink. I would say the formula for these tints is very light, sheer and a bit velvety too.

They give you a lovely soft swish of colour and shine over your lids not leaving you with any transparent, heavy shadow either. I tend to add some on my lids and gently blend it with my little finger or use a small brush.

(L-R): Sweet Cloud, Bronze Mirage, Whimsy and Rose Pearl

Currently there is 12 shades at the ready:

  • Sweet Cloud: Rose gold
  • Rose Pearl: Pale pink
  • Evening Spell: Deep burgundy
  • Gold Standard: Rich gold
  • Night Glow: Taupe shimmer
  • White Lace Romance: Pearly white
  • Whimsy: Mid-tone pink
  • New Romance: Copper pink
  • Morning Sky: Jade green
  • Fame & Fortune: Silver
  • Nude To Me: Nude beige
  • Bronze Mirage: Golden bronze

My choices were (L-R): Whimsy, Sweet Cloud, Bronze Mirage and Rose Pearl

Despite testing all of the colours out in the store I decided to stick to colours which would compliment my complexion more rather than go too wild.

I like to play it safe with my colour scheme where I can keep things neutral but have a bit of sparkle on a day to day basis to balance it out. I'm really happy with my choices as all the colours are gorgeous!

Next time I think I may invest in the other two colours White Lace Romance and New Romance. Those two were going in my shopping basket too at the time when I got these but I decided to buy four just to try them out to see whether I liked them or not. Now that I know I do I will definitely be buying more... as always NYX never disappoints me.

I watched then blended them here quite heavily so you can see more of the color and tone, but they definitely even out more when blending on the eyelid. They are able to be layered to build intensity, however I must remind you that to let them dry and set in-between layers for five minutes if you’re going to do so, otherwise they will get blotchy.
You can blend shades together for a tad more dimension, but me being me I prefer a more simple look with these just one shade blended out on my lid joined with some black winged eyeliner and mascara. It’s  all very simple,  cute and takes only a few seconds.
However the formula for these tints are not waterproof (unlike many other shimmery eyeshadows are), but I found it held up fine throughout the day without a problem. I didn’t experience any creases or fading and they come off easily with micellar water.

They are all very wonderful products and I do highly recommend you to try these if you are interested or if you've been eyeing them up on your travels. Even if it is just one honestly try them because you will not be disheartened.

What do you think so far of these NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tints? Any good? Please let me know!

Lancome Lover? Then Check Out The New Autumn 2016 Pieces!

Lancome have recently caught my eye since their new release of the L'Absolu Rouge lipsticks and Teint Idole Ultra Cushion. I already do own a few of the older products from Lancome as it is not really a brand I tend to buy from that often.

As I buy from so many it is hard to keep up these days but when I heard from a friend how lovely the new lipsticks were I thought I would give Lancome another chance and purchase some of the items from the recent range.

Well for starters the packaging is incredibly gorgeous and very chic in my opinion. I am loving the silver, it isn't too done and the embossed flowers are make it their lipstick packages look a tad more interesting rather than just stay plain.

As for the quality for the lipsticks, they are decent as they do deliver a good deal of moisture and plenty of shine to your lips. They are matte leaving your lips fuller with a comfortable silk finish. Also lipsticks are very creamy which is nice so they do not leave a horrible texture on your lips when applied. They have a nice little glittery shine at the end of the application too! Perfect for the upcoming Christmas season.

The colours I have chosen are number 07 which is 'Rose Nocturne' and 08 being 'Rose Reflet' which are both deep beautiful pinks. One is slightly brighter than the other while the other lipstick is more of a deeper salmon pink.

There is thirty nine other shades in total to choose from. Spoilt for choice!

Lipsticks:  08 & 07

Swatches: 08 & 07

Okay so since this new big 'cushion' trend has hit the market I was a bit taken a back by how gimmicked and slightly unwanted it is. As an infused sponge filled with the foundation has to be squished with a foamed pad then applied to the skin. Oh... okay then!

I thought I would give it a go anyway. I don't usually go for these cushion foundations as I usually purchase the typical squirt bottle types and then use a brush but I thought I would try this product just to see what all the fuss is about.

I suppose this product is good so you are able to take it from A to B with you in an all in one compact rather than have it go all over your bag coating everything in brown steaks everywhere. Thats one good thing about it.

So far I have found that the cushion is ideal, it allows better variety in terms of other foundations you are able to use. This formula is fresher, lighter and beautiful when applied as it offers great coverage.

Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra does not bring disappointment in the coverage department and I will say that the foundation its self is just wonderful. It gives you everything - a pretty glow, youthful and a delicious finish with plenty of coverage causing your skin to look baby-faced brand new.

I am extremely pleased with this foundation. I'm taken by it. Plus also because the compact with the mirror does make things so much easier, convenient with no mess.
The cushion comes in nine other shades which I think is fabulous. The shade I am using is 04 which is a light soft brown. It is called 'Beige Miel'.
However I will admit that it is so easy to use this foundation up quickly. It isn't exactly cheap either but I think it is worth the money if you are as won over by it as myself.
So far what do you all think? Have any of you reading tried any of the new Lancome collection yet? Please let me know!

OH MY GOD! Do you like Snow Fairy? Then Guess What...

Lush have done us a very good deed this year by releasing a gorgeous new Snow fairy body conditioner! There is never a year that goes by where Snow fairy is now in abundance.

Its probably become a beauty blogger yearly favourite by now and this sickeningly but beautiful scent along with the others 'Honey I washed The Kids' and 'Candy Mountain' has covered near enough possibly ever format and continues to expand on a year by year basis.

Its so gorgeous and it smells even better than the Snow Fairy shower gel by a mile. Sure the tub doesn't look the part but its what is inside that counts (literally!).

I mean how can you say no to such a pretty glittery pink swirl solution that smells like heavenly bubblegum sweeties inside? I should can't!

It retails for £13.95 for 225g and of course is vegan friendly.

Inside the tub the pink pretty solution is very thick and creamy reminding you of a candy shop. All of the candyflosses, pick n' mix and lollipops combined would not top this scent I can assure you (its that sweet!).

Compared to the shower gel, this conditioner has a delicious aroma and smells like all the candy on the planet melted and baked into a wonderful seasonal treat just for you.

The ingredients listed indicate that with the use of candy floss water shows me that Lush have gone to their further extent on creating one of the most overpowering, strong and dominating sweet scents that Snow Fairy could ever possibly have.

This stuff is powerful and I have used this conditioner in the morning before getting ready for university, going about my day and coming home where I still smell like it. The new Snow Fairy body conditioner is so very strong, it really does last all day and does not easily fade.

This conditioner is extremely good for your skin too. There is plenty of avocado butter, mango butter and a tint of cherry infusion too added into the mixture. So if you are a sweet tooth its definitely ideal to meet your needs.

As Avocado butter is packed full of natural good oils - rich enough that they not only soothe and strengthen the skin, but offers a deep condition that other oils can't. The mango butter inside makes the skin softer and helps repairing the skin as well.

The cherry infusion not only adds a layer of sweetness but helps to elevate the wonderful, sweet candy aroma, but also works on cleaning the pores so you can enjoy soft, smooth beautiful skin.

I do not find this conditioner very greasy, although some may do but I find that all the oils and butters work quick enough to absorb into the skin within 20 minutes at the most. Its a great product for treating yourself to weekly after a long hard day or just your regular pamper day (or everyday if you are like me!).

To be fair I was not expect this product to be this enjoyable at first, I was shown it in the shop and my interest was captured but not enough for me to want to buy it.

So I went back to Lush to purchase just the Snow Fairy gel alone and I thought I might just give the conditioner a try. I am so glad I bought it as it really does help soften and nourish my skin to the best of its abilities.

I did not expect the Snow Fairy body conditioner to be this good. I am surprised by it and yet not so surprised as Lush always bring out wonderful products.

What an absolute treat!

Have any of you reading bought the Snow Fairy Body Conditioner and if so what are your thoughts? If any of you are going to buy it or are thinking of buying then you will not be displeased!

Too Faced 'Grande Hotel Cafe' Christmas Edition | Review

Well I can't believe its almost Christmas. In how many months? Wait... next month?! That's shocking.   This year has flown and next thing you know we are back to the wonderful winter season which means groggy dark morning, delicious treats and bundling up in cute warm clothes.

But also collections come out and I was very pleased when I saw that Too Faced's new luxurious 2016 Christmas Edition of Grande Hotel Cafe was being released. Luckily enough I was able to pinch it from Debenhams instead of going through the process of shipping and the long wait.

This release is much similar to last years Too Faced Le Grand Chateau Christmas edition only except the packaging is different. The palettes are quite similar but this new one is focused on sweet treats and the colours to match.

Its gorgeous and I am absolutely pleased with this edition since I was not able to get last year's release. I think this one is nicer anyway and its more decorative with cute illustrations. The first thought I had receiving it was "wow" and I had clips of Home Alone 2 flashing in my mind ha ha! But who wouldn't want to visit New York during Christmas time? I know I would! Thankfully Too Faced has brought that to us individually.

I was excited for this collection as there is three separate palettes! It comes with three Christmas coffee scented palettes (Peppermint Mocha, Gingerbread Coffee, and Eggnog Latte!) for a total of 18 matte and shimmer shadows, two blushes, a bronzer, and a deluxe size of Better Than Sex Mascara.

The price for all of these items is fairly decent –  £45 is worth it.

I have already read a few reviews about these palettes are they're mixed. Some people like them and others aren't really impressed. I suppose its down to preference and obviously not everyone is going to be pleased. I really am and I think the palettes are good! They're incredibly easy to work with and certain shades such as 'Sprinkles' blend well.

However I am slightly let down by the fact that the scent is a bit weak. I find that each palette smells the exact same and there is little to no difference when it comes to determining which is which. The gingerbread palette smells more like mint rather than actual gingerbread.

The eggnog palette has a nice cinnamon scent and its only the peppermint mocha palette is the only one with the correct scent sadly. But its okay as it doesn't bother me too much however I think to some who really did have their heart set on each scent smelling like the palette claims... it's a bit of a let down.

Also the palettes are not that great within the pigmentation department at all. The shimmer shadows are good but the others are much weaker. I have had to apply and apply multiple times for them to show up properly.

This edition isn't all bad though. I still think its worth the money even if it does not tick every box on the list because you can work with it (and its extremely adorable of course!).

Palette: Peppermint Mocha

Palette: Eggnog Latte

Palette: Gingerbread Cookie

Peppermint Cream: is the light creamy shade with a bright and faint undertone. Quite poor pigmentation and may have to re-apply. It's a soft, natural and very silky texture.

Christmas Blend: a strong light brown, golden warm undertone is packed in and a bold sheen. Great pigmentation, good to even out and blending. This shade is also very neutral, I plan on using this during the Christmas period.

Peppermint Mocha: a dominant shade with a delicate silk finish. Lovely to apply, it's smooth and easy to blend. It lasts around six hours. Very good so far.

Candy Cane: very sheer with a slight supple undertone but I find it is not very pigmented. Smooth and lasts around two-three hours for me. I had to keep re-applying.

Sprinkles: a gorgeous glittery pink, bright and with a shiny aftermath. Very good to blend, silky and smooth. It lasts longer than six hours for me.

Coffee Chip: It is slightly sheer, a bit dry however its easy to blend with. I think it is nice to create a smokey eyed look and I would use this as part of my everyday make up. It lasts around four-five hours for me.

Santa Baby: is such a lovely warm baby pink but it is quite chalky. It is slightly sheer, a bit dry yet I find it blends out decent enough. Would need multiple layers to make it show up at its best.

Ginger Cream: is again similar to Peppermint cream but Ginger Cream is less stronger. The shade alone is gorgeous with a bright and faint undertone. Quite poor pigmentation and may have to re-apply.

Maple Syrup: I would say it would need to be re-applied a fair few times for it to show properly. I think this shade is semi-strong and however is still a beautiful coffee brown. It lasts up to four-five hours wore wearing away.

Gingersnap: a gorgeous sparkled orange, overpowering and yet gritty. Easy to blend and apply. It lasts around four-five hours for me.

Winter Dream: a very pretty glittery pink which is pigmented, easy to blend with and apply. It shows easily and you would not have to keep re-applying. Lasts four-five hours.

Cup Of Joe: quite a chalky colour, it is sheer and I had to re-apply it. The colourful itself is a dark brown and I think it is very weak. Pretty but weak.

Black Coffee: dominant and again is as chalky as Cup Of Joe but a bit more pigmented I find it. Easy to blend with and has a sleek matte finish. Lasts four-five hours.

Gingerbread: such a gorgeous colour but I find it weak. You would need to apply again until you got the full brown colour. It is sheer but has a glitz aftermath which is very attractive. It lasted me three-four hours.

Frosty Nog: is a gorgeous light nude, easy to apply but quite sheer and would have to be re-applied in order to create a build up. Perfect for an everyday neutral look. It lasted me around four hours with a matte finish spray.

Eggnog Latte: a creamy glittery nude which is easy to apply, pigmented and shows perfectly. Looks beautiful on the eyes and lasted me around four-five hours. I was very pleased with this shade.

Iced Coffee: a lovely sparkly light brown, it is very pigmented and applies fine. Shows up great and lasts around four-five hours.

Skinny Latte: is a nice matte shade, it would make a great base and is quite pigmented but would still need another coat just to make a fuller look. Applies very smoothly and lasts up to five hours for me.

Cold Brew: strong, great pigmentation but a little bit gritty for me. Its easy enough to apply and shows up immensely. Lasts four-five hours at the most.

Central Perk: is a strong dark green, I found it very poor in the pigment department and not the best colour to work with on the eyes as I think this does not show up too well. Would need to re-apply and it is very chalky.

Peach Cobbler: such a pretty peach colour but I find this colour not very pigmented and too sheer for my complexion perhaps it would be better with a lighter skin tone. Still very smooth to apply and light.

Better Than Sex Mascara: The 'Better Than Sex' mascara that this release comes with is okay but its quite clumpy.

I am still adjusting to the brush but I think honestly its a hit and miss. Its just too messy for me and leaves my lashes looking like bats wings. Plus I find the mascara drying too. I do not like how its one of those small mascaras either as its hard to work with because I need the bigger version.

But after doing research on this mascara many others found it too awkward and left them with clumpy lashes. Its a shame as it is cute since its tiny but it isn't the best size when it comes to using it. I think the mascara should have just been the normal large sized one instead especially for the price paid for this edition.

Overall I am happy with with this years Too Faced Christmas release but I do think the palettes could have had a bit more effort thrown into their pigment and scents.

It would still make a lovely gift for someone and I do not think I wasted my money as I do use these palettes but I have pet peeves with some of the shades is all.

I do hope for any of those reading this review who have only just heard about the Grande Hotel Cafe edition or have seen it around and had it on your wish lists that this isn't a let down review. It isn't meant to be but I just hope that this gives you more of an insight as to what you are going to be receiving.

Once again thank you for reading and if any of you are interested in this item then what are your thoughts up to now? Please let me know!

October photo diary – iPhone pictures

Blimey! Well October went by fast enough didn't it?

Which is great of course. Now that we have Halloween and Bon fire night out of the way we are officially on the route to Christmas! I don't know if that is a good or bad thing for some but for me I am probably semi-excited. I like the build up to Christmas but I cannot say I am a big Christmas fan anymore. The stress and angry shoppers are partly but Christmas wore off me years ago I think.

Its okay and I prefer the two week break than I do fussing over presents and food. Still its nice to just be with your family and chill out. Thats my perfect Christmas: relaxing. I sound really boring but thats honestly how I am. At least all the good cheesy Christmas films and tasty good saves us Christmas-haters I guess? ha ha!

1. I love taking pictures of all my little breakfast/snack set ups and you can check them out on my Instagram! I used to always see food set ups back on Myspace icon websites and Piczo sites back in the day! I used to think "I wish I could do stuff like that" but I had no idea how to go about or anything unlike now where there is so much more inspiration. I just hope I inspire other people too!

Plus how cute are those baby pumpkins? Apparently they're squashes... in my eyes they're little pumpkins! They were only 40 pence each in Tesco and I couldn't be a bad pumpkin mama leaving the pair behind. I've got an obsession with collecting Disney mugs too, I have so many and in that picture is my Snow White one.

I was discussing this with my friend yesterday in class and she even admitted to owning so many that when she leaves home, she will just have a kitchen shelf dedicated to all her Disney mugs. I can't lie and say I won't because I will probably have one too ha ha!

Its just such a nice time of year to get festive and snuggle with up a good brew! Have any of you reading got a favourite hot drink? I love a good Cappuccino! Its my favourite coffee. I love how strong and creamy it is at the same time. But recently I am loving Costa Coffee's new selection of Christmas drinks! Their black forest hot chocolate is to DIE for.

2. Another reason to love Autumn? The leaves! All the bright splashes of colours and crispiness they hold. It always makes me think back to being at primary school for some reason - probably because I used to play in the leaves and the long walk holding my mother's hand as I stamped around in all the leaves on the way there.

I tend to remember that more than high school or college days. I just find this season to be peaceful in all its gloominess.

3. Oh! So the other week I got sent a lovely package from my friend in Japan. We have been pen pals for over six years now and strangely enough we met on Tumblr.

Its so funny as I was still learning Japanese back then (properly) and I saw the Japanese strawberry meiji milk reblog on my dashboard and I used to just follow anyone back then who liked cute things ect.

So I asked this girl and for some reason I assumed she was British because of all the British things she reblogged.

I asked what shop she got the strawberry milk from because I really wanted to try the meiji version. I laughed when she said "Its from Lawson convenience store" and Lawson is a convenience store chain over there for those who don't know. It was funny because she loves British things!

So we got talking, always messaging each other every day and she asked if I wanted to become her pen pal! That was six years ago and even now we still send cards/gifts to each other. I plan to meet her in June 2017 and I can't wait to finally see her in person!

Now I can't help but thank Meiji's strawberry milk otherwise I would have never made such a sweet and kind friend.

4. I bought these Lingerie eye shadow tints from NYX the other day and I wasn't really expecting them to be that great. I just thought I would give them a go and I liked their colours. They are amazing! I love how they just glide on like lip glosses and blend so easily.

They dry pretty fast too which is a bonus leaving no creases either! I am so surprised. I think I will go back and get some more! I definitely recommend these to anyone who is in a rush every morning getting ready and just needs to quickly slap on some make up before their train/bus because these will save you. I promise!
